Summary:
I used a well-known concept: COP vs. ROBBER to create a dice board game. In this game, the movement of the each player is based on the number that shows on the dice. The goal of COP is catching the ROBBER while the ROBBER is trying to either collect all the treasure, or escape from the building. The players can experience both the excitement from luck and strategy. Also, I built a physical installation that enables the board game to be played vertically. Therefore, players could be more intuitive while playing it, and enjoy it more.
COP vs. ROBBER: Dice Game was selected to be the display game in the 2015 Level up game exhibition at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in New York City.
